Annual Predictions Post

Time to peer into the crystal football again and see what 2013 has in st— oh, goddammit Alabama won again.

First, though, a recap of hits and misses from last year's predictions.

Hits:

- Florida State wins the ACC
- Big 12 bloodbath/OU shares the conference title
- Wisconsin wins the Big Ten (it was kind of by default, though)
- Michigan regresses to 8-4
- Ohio State goes 12-0

The Big Ten is predictable to a fault.

Misses:

- LSU over USC in the BCSNCG (oh... oh that was way off)
- USC winning the Pac-12 (ha ha ha)
- Matt Barkley winning the Heisma... I can't even finish that one

Note to self: don't bet on Lane Kiffin.  Ever.

Here we go!

BCS Title Game
12-1 Alabama over 12-1 Ohio State

ACC
Clemson

American
Louisville... with at least 1-2 losses

Big 12
I feel weird about doing this, but... Baylor

Big Ten
Ohio State

Pac-12
Oregon

SEC
Alabama

Surprise Team
Fresno State.  Someone outside the power conferences is going to end up ranked.  I think it's Fresno.  Although once again, I think BYU could surprise.  Their schedule leaves plenty of opportunities for upsets.

Flop Team
Wisconsin.  I think Bielema bailed on them for a reason.

BCS Buster
If it happens, it'll be Fresno by default (stellar record) or BYU by resume.

Heisman Winner
It's going to be a QB from an SEC team not named Manziel

First Player Out of Heisman Race
One of the only ones in it: Teddy Bridgewater

Next Household Name
Marcus Mariota ought to get more time in the spotlight this year.

Coach on the Hottest Seat
Lane Kiffin, if he can't get to at least nine wins.

Bold Prediction
The biggest headline of the season will involve something that happened off the field or in the aftermath of a game.
