Week 5 Impressions

Everyone who didn't play like crap in Week 5, please take a step back.  Ah ah ah... not so fast, EVERYONE.

As a fan whose only rooting interests are "the underdog" and "chaos," I hope Week 5 portends some disaster down the road.  But it could just be teams taking it easy and looking ahead.
  • Stanford, after looking increasingly impressive, looked like Week 1 Stanford again.
  • This might be the beginning of the end of the Paul Johnson experiment at Ga Tech.
  • Alamorange Bowl II (Baylor-WVU) was fun, but still lacked the variety of scoring featured in Alamorange Bowl I.  Sequels often suffer from a step down in quality.
  • Na na na na na na na na OFF-FENSE!  Na na na na na na na na OFF-FENSE!
  • I think Alabama's doing a bit of rope-a-dope on weak opponents, saving the big stuff for LSU.  I hope that's what they're doing.
  • I don't think LSU is doing rope-a-dope.  Just the a-dope part.
  • A lot of great finishes yesterday: Cinci-VaTech, Oregon State-Arizona, Miami-NC State, Nebraska-Wisconsin, Georgia-Tennessee, Texas-Oklahoma State.
